BIM Arena 2020 | Form & Mathematics: Computational Design
Order and Foundation of Architects of Florence
During the webinar “Computational Design: Where Coding and Architecture Meet” organized by BIM Arena (FAF / OAF), Nina Songhori presented the keynote “Form & Mathematics”. The talk explored algorithmic and generative methodologies, demonstrating how biomimetic inspiration—from organic natural structures to mathematical equations—translates into complex, scalable designs: from the micro-scale of parametric jewelry, to furniture design with the Milan Chair, up to large-scale architectural and landscape visions such as the San Francisco House of Music and Skyeye.
